got a question for all y'all that hunt with dogs. Why is it that I had a dog hunter walk under my stand today with 5 dogs in an archery only unit? Im talking about unit F. The unit that covers most of the valley up the Pali Highway. Both sides of it. Up to the ridges on both sides. all the way up to the lookout. why was that fella poaching there? leaving his dogs scent everywhere and destroying the opportunities for honest bowhunters? especially when some of us work damn hard to locate and develop ...

Hello All,

As I have yet to hunt on here Oahu (have to wait a few more weeks) I was wondering what everyone's favorite hunting camo pattern is here. I mainly have heavy winter duck camo and good old BDU's, so I'm looking for ideas for warm weather clothes. I was wondering what pattern to get, primarly for the NW side of the island. Yea, I know different patterns for different areas, but this is just to get me looking in the right areas. Multicam, Seclusion 3D Open Country, and Mossy ...

Already bought the tube for $7, wired one end tight, and found a big yogurt container that fits as a lid. Dirt cheap @ $7 + feed. Gonna install on the edge of town where I know there's been pigs.

I got into it a little at the tail end of last season and enjoyed it a lot. I've still got much to learn and I figure the best way is to hook up with some other hunters.
I just wanted to hi, or should I say aloha and that I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to post information on here about hunting in Hawaii. I will be visiting your great state in Feb for the first time and am really looking forward to not only a break from the cold Alaskan winter, but from what I can tell, a really cool hunting opportunity! Information on hunting in Hawaii seems to be almost non-exsistant, but this site has been very helpful in deciding what I want to do, again, thanks!

We left Lahaina at 0230 and checked in at the Waipoli station at 0430. Parked the truck and walked inland. We could hear the goats were in the area but was still dark. Once morning broke, the bullets went flying. What a rush. By 0630, we field dressed 2 nanny's. We continued to hike around the west side of Polipoli and check out about 1330.

Hello all

I am moving from Alaska to Maui for the winter and would love to do some hunting. I bow hunt and upland bird hunt and am wondering how the hunting is on public land for both. I see that there are a few spots to hunt on public land and am wondering if it is very good. I am asking because I am packing and am wondering if I should bring a shotgun and bow, and also my wifes bow if there is alot of oppurtunity. I hunt a lot and am used to walking and packing miles with a heavy load.

Thanks ...

Did you guys see this article? I like how they point out that the deer aren't on the public lands, and landowners don't want to give access. I have been turned down several times when I ask a landowner for permission and it always has to do with his liability and insurance. And I am only talking about doing archery. I follow all the game laws, make sure I hunt safely, ethically, and responsibly, but it doesn' seem to matter to the landowners because other hunters have ...

Montec G5 3 blade, Magnus Snuffer 3 blade, or Muzzy 3 blade, all 125 grain, arrow weight at 506 grains with 125 grain. Want your opinion and pick the broadhead before I start fine tuning my bow and arrow with broadheads. So far heard lots of good things about the Montec's. Bow is 45# recurve.
