interracial baby's skin color?

I was helping out my younger cousin with genetics homework the other day and I began to wonder-- If 2 races (say, white and asian, or white and black) had a baby, what would the babies chances of getting a certain pigment gene be ? is it 50/50? or is the darker color dominant, say 80?20 or whatever? (thats what I see most of the time, maybe its just me though)
