What u hunt with? weapon of choice?

Howzit boyz! Jus wanted to see what everyone take in da mountain wit dem. What kine knife or gun? anyone use a 38 special?

I have used 38 sp +P with no problem, I do prefer the .357 though!
I have a bunch of options that I choose from when heading out depending on how many or which dogs I take.
Knives: Buck 119 or Cold Steel OSS (one on my hip & the other in my pack)
Guns: .357 or 22 mag
or my spear (This has become my "choice" lately)

30-30 is always reliable. I get one winchester 30-30, marlin 22LR, n smith n wesson 38 special dat i choose from for go pig kine. Usually take da 30-30 but can be a hassle for carry um in da bush da entire day. Took da 22 couple times n bumped into some goats. Shot um in da head n bugga still got away. Another time, pigs ran in front of me n da 22 couldn't hurt um enough for drop um. I figa, take da 38 special on one hip holster n besides da machete, it'll be a hands free hunt. But jus dis past friday, 2 of my dogs had one fat ronchy sow dat was givin um a run for their money. Video tape fast kine den bugga gave my dog cracks n broke free so i had blow um. Looked like i got um little behind da head or jaw. It got stunned and twitched but continued to run away. ALL WEAK i was!!!! ONE FATTY! Has anyone noticed if there is a difference in ur aiming between pulling da hammer bak and shooting and jus shooting it without pulling it bak?

The tip is a Cold Steel Bushman and then I happen to snap a shovel while working in the yard. The Bushman is crazy strong and sharp! If you look at the picture close you can see I've sank the rope into quite a few pigs. One speed! As far as a double action revolver goes your trigger pull will be heavier without the hammer precocked. I get one 22lr that I've taken on a few occasions but when I use um it's point blank and to the temple and couple times still gotta put one more to stop the twitching. What kind of bullet did you shoot outta the .38? I use 125 JHP +P and as long as I hit the head or vitals they drop. I can vouch if you hit um in the neck or puna they will keep running! Judging by your story I think you may have clipped the spine and gave her a stinger that she shook off and ran off from. Here is a picture of a pig to give you an idea!

usually i get a buck for my stabah and a 30 cal carbine. my partnah usually use the 38 special or a 30-30

I use a cold steel OSS for poke da pig. N Isaac, da 38 sp bullets is 158 i think, (blazer brand).
