Good video on a couple NZ packing methods.
Thought you all might find this interesting. Not sure how it would work on Hawaii game but might work a bit better than "tying" the legs together. The video is from New Zealand. There's a similar thing we do with goats sometimes. Heck, you could probably use a piece of hau bush.
Here's another method where they take just the backstraps and back legs. ...cant really see where it would be practical except where you blown the front half to smithereens and don't have a meat bag, or unless you prefer to waste good meat, but here it goes anyway...
