it a sign of a parasite...intestinal worm. Humans can get the parasite too, from what I just read and saw its not too pretty. I would toss it.

...I see plenty livers that look like that. So long as the pig looked healthy on the outside, I ate them and never had any problems. ...or then again, maybe that's why I'm so skinny. seriously

eh right on for the personal experiences that was the first for me. all my kills was by bow or gun but starting my own pack. my dogs found two pigs on two different hunts but got smoked. pretty soon. cant get smoked all the time. mahalo for the info guys aloha.

Whenever there is doubt don't chance it! White blotchy spots on the liver can be anything from nothing to bruceleosis to a cancer, although you would have to come in contact t with spinal fluid...you have to ask yourselves is it worth it.

In 1994 I contracted leptospirosis and was hostpitalized for 11days also a proud receipent of 6 spinal taps..I lost over 20lbs after all was said and done.

That's my story....... I have cut into hogs and have seen green fluid with black specks come out of the spine.........and I let them lay I don't even cut out the jaw.....its not worth it
