Maui Bowhunting?

Aloha,

Great website! I had no idea that there was such great hunting opportunities in Hawaii..

I will be in Maui Feb 24 - March 09, plan on bringing my bow along.

Was wondering if anyone could give any help or direction to a new guy?? looking to hunt pigs, and sheep/goats.

Home is Calgary, Alberta (Canada).

I'm from BC, and will be in Maui from now till Mar 3, at Lahina.I usually hunt BC, Alta, and Sask.We're in the rockies,chasing elk,both deer, and moose, with both bow and rifle.
If you don't get suitable response,get back to me, cause I hope to do some hog hunting when I'm there.Been there 3 times and am needing to try their game! (250-832-3332)

Axis deer bowhunting is available on Lanai year round and it's only a 45 minute ferry ride from Maui. Might be worthwhile if you can get away for a couple of days. Contact Lanai Company game management. Sorry I don't have the number off hand.

You emailed me from Bowcast, where I go by Misadventure Gear. I tried to reply but for some reason, my email wouldn't go out. Tomorrow, I will try again from another email account and see if I have any luck. I'd love to go bowhunting with you except I'll be in California from the 24th to the 1st. We'll have to do it after I get back. Try PMing Instinct here, and he may be able to hook you up too. He and I have done a bit of hunting together here and on Lanai and he is a good guy.
