Str8 front or independent? Empty Str8 front or independent?

I was wondering if anyone know how or know someone that can str8 front my truck. I have a 88 chevy s10 single cab lifted. Or if you know how 2 make a independent stronger? What u guys think independent or str8 front which is better?

Staight front (SAS/Solid Axle Conversion) in my opinion, is way better and if you put the kit from All Pro Off Road or the kit from Off Road Solutions, the ride is way smoother too. But i would go buy one Toyota between 1986 to 1995 first. You would spend less $ doing the Toyota than trying to convert your S10. Get SAS kits for the Toyotas that's why. There is kits for 1995-1/2 and newer Tacomas but gotta do more work on the truck to convert the newer models. Your best bet is go buy a Toyota from craigslist first. You going be way more happy with it converted.

I like toyotas but i love my CHEVY's. in my opinion nothing against toyotas. do you know what kine suspension would be good for a s10

Just do a regular lift kit then. Because if you straight front your S10 you're gonna do a a lot of custom work. But if you get the time, money and know how i'd straight front'em. Check out these sites below

STRAIGHT FRONTEM! if you get the cash might as well. i've seen a couple straight fronted s-10's in waianae and they look killah. i prefer straight front to independent because your durability, flex, lift, and maintenance are all way better than and cheaper than independent axles. the only thing is that you give up comfort.

If you like one smooth ride use rock climbing springs. The ride going be way smoother than your lifted independant suspension and you going get choke flex. The only thing is, the springs is soft so don't keep your dog cage in your bed, take em off after every hunt and don't use your truck to haul heavy load in the bed too much or the springs going sag. Rock climbing spring is not made to haul too much load but the ride is way smooth. Just don't use any kine springs cause you not going get flex and your ride going be stiff like one '88 lifted straight front chevy, you going need kidney belt for go off roading Laughing .

If you mean drivers side, you can try one dana front. You should register on the S10 forum site that i gave you and ask them questions. I don't know too much bout S10 i know more bout Toyotas.

if your drive shaft is on the right then you can use one jeep dana 44 cause the drive shaft is on the right. my friends dad did one nissan hardbody conversion and the drive shaft is the right and he used a dana 44 off of a ford truck.
