Ticks and lice

Braddas, what do you guys use to keep your pigs and dogs clean from ticks and lice? I picked up a 15lb sow that had was pretty infested with both. So I gave it a good bath to kill them, but I'm thinking about short and long term maintenance to keep those devilish creatures away.

Any suggestions would be choice.

I use Bayer Tree & Shrub w/ Ferilizer inside ( They have discontinued the one without) and I dilute it half & half with water in a spray bottle and spray down my dogs and then rub it in. I did this about 4 months ago and only had to reapply once about 2 weeks ago! The active ingredient in it is Imidacloprid 1.47 and it is the same active ingredient as in Frontline and the usual topical applications but you buy it in a big bottle and the bottle only costs $20 at Walmart! God luck with getting the ukus outta your yard!

Cuz I raise pitbulls and I use blue dawn once a week. Put one drop between the toes and one drop in the ear and rub em. They work for me.
