Any bird hunters out there?

It is looking like work is going to slow down a little and i'm looking to do a little bird hunting. Anyone have any good starting points on the Big Island? I'm hunting solo so a partner is welcome. Thanks for all the help so far.

Well truthfull this year has been dry and everyone has had
a hard time finding birds. Well it would depend on what you
want to shoot? It also depends on if you have a dog or not?

Well i have no dog so i'll be beating brush. I'm looking to do any wing shooting. I was a big duck hunter and this time of year is hard on me... I was thinking quail, doves and phez and eventualy a turkey. Here is a nother question. What kinds of turkeys live on the big island? They don't look like easterns to me.

As for the type of Turkeys I believe they are Rio Grande.

Well you dont need a dog to hunt but it sure makes it easier. I would just try and go n Lau ranch. The grass is tall but there is a bunch of phez in there. Also a lot of quail. Other than that you just have to try because we havent been having any good luck. On in the ranch
