buying hunting boots
Hi Everybody, This is my first post here. I was wondering where you guys bought your boots. It looks like cabelas is the only option. Anywhere on the island? or another website?
Thanks
Thanks

Check Sports Authority. Cabelas is iffy for boots cuz you can't try em on.

Re: buying hunting boots
Hey Thanks for replying. I have been to sports authority. They only have hiking boots (with the exception of one hunting boot that I saw on their website. I wanted something around 9 inches high. I have some nice Merrill hiking boots that I really like but as soon as I go off the trail all the leaves and dirt and sticks and stuff go in the boot. If I have time I will post pics of the merrills

Use a pic host like Photobucket, then just cut and paste the IMG tag from there.

I use the same thing as moosehead,I got the idea from him, you can't beat it. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 235lbs and I jump down and climb up all kind crazy places with no problem, run in rivers with water flowing and all.
Re: buying hunting boots
I'm gonna have to try that. I got a whole box of half inch stainless sheet metal screws that should work.

NO I DON'T FEEL A THING.THE SOLE IS LITTLE OVER AN INCH THICK.I REALLY LIKE THE ANKLE SUPPORT..IT'S KINDA HEAVY BUT WORTH IT..TRIED EVERY OTHER SHOES FROM NIKES TO CABELAS BUT THIS ONE WORKS THE BEST!!HAS TO BE THE VIBRAM SOLE OR THE SCREWS COMES OUT EASY.EVEN TRIED THE KORKERS BRAND THE ONE YOU CAN CHANGE THE BOTTOM,BUT THE BOTTOM KEEP FALLING OFF!IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET USED TO KINDA HEAVY...YOU COULD USE LOCK TITE OR GLUE TO PROLONG THE SCREW FROM COMING OUT,BUT IT STILL COMES OUT IN TIME..GOOD LUCK..ALOHA...

tabbys
With the wetness on this island, especially when it rains and your crossing the streams. I recommend the outdoor Tabbys or Tubbys (don't know the correct name) from mcully bike shop. They cost $62 but worth every penny if you're clumsy in the woods like me with two left foot. These Tabbys have spikes on the bottom and good for climbing trees when the pig is chasing you.
