I found this.
http://www.bluewaterhunter.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/spears.html
But it is not exactly what I want.

Timmy, I don't think there is such a thing. When bowfishing, you want the head to have a barb that opens after the head enters the fish, so that it doesn't pull out when you reel it back in. I would think that a 3-prong will just pull out, and not work.

My purpose is to make a supermini 3 prong spear. I will not be shooting this from the bow.

metal fork and some electrical tape. Ive done it and it works well.
My friend welded some small prawn 3prongs to attach to our old arrows. I dont think there's anything available to buy though.

Yea, Yea, Yea. Like the one your friend made. I couldn't figure it out. My bro is quite a champ at welding. Maybe I can have him attach it. Maybe epoxy would work?
Thanks
Thanks

I would look into some frog gigs.
Years ago I had a graphite ultra lite shaft with a small screw in three prong tip that I used for prawns in Wapio Valley but I don't remember where I got it.

the ones my friend made used a field tip for the base, he dremel'd out three grooves and welded the metal prongs into the grooves. thats it

O.K. now I get it. that is why it was so light. What about the prongs. What about cutting the ones off an old spear and attaching them or can I get them somewhere?

Re: 3 prong tip for archery
they were just some random little steel rods he had, real skinny about as big around as a clotheshanger but stiff.. I wouldn't use normal three prong tips, they're big and heavy. You dont need much to hold down a prawn.
