What is the law regarding the use of blaze orange? How much has to be worn. Thanks.

§13-123-22 Conditions and restrictions.
(g) The following GENERAL RESTRICTIONS shall also apply:
(1) No person shall hunt, serve as a guide, accompany, or assist a hunter in any hunting area
where firearms are permitted without wearing an exterior garment (shirt, vest, jacket, or
coat) made of commercially manufactured, solid blaze-orange material or solid blazeorange
mesh material with a maximum mesh size of one-eighth inch. (All types of
camouflage orange are prohibited for these garments.) When carrying game or wearing a
back pack, the blaze orange on the upper torso must be visible from both front and back.
(2) Unless prohibited, non-hunters and hunter assistants may accompany hunters in the field.
Non-hunters and hunter assistants must wear a blaze-orange outer garment and are
prohibited from carrying any loaded weapon and ammunition. On the island of Lanai,
hunter assistants must have in their possession a valid hunting license and a special hunter
assistant certificate.

Basically this means that you need to wear a blaze-orange shirt or vest (following the minimum requirements stated above) in any area where firearms are permitted. If firearms are not permitted, such as an archery or dog&knife-only area, you are not required to wear any orange and can wear whatever you want.

Wearing a backpack that covers up too much of the orange on your back could land you a violation, however it may be disputable, depending on the pack. To be safe, or if using a very large backpack that really does cover up all your orange, you will need to have some orange on your pack so that your orange is visible from all sides.

If somebody is with you, whether he/she has a license or not, they must also follow the same blaze orange rules too.
