New Board

Howzit Everybody. I was just wondering if anyone was interested in a new discussion board? One with Moderators and Administrators. When Bradda Eric passed he took the passwords for the adim of the board with him. Hence all the SPAM, swearing, fighting and general BS happening now. I along with everyone that knew Eric even if it was only through these discussion boards is thankful for his efforts in creating this board. Its sad to see what is happening now. I just think we need active mods and admin. Let me know. The new board I see is basically just like this one just with a few tweeks and active mods to control the BS. If your happy than thats fine. Lemme know if there is support for it.

Hey Babooze, I support the new board. Drama free!! Although i'm in the mainland now, it's good to come on the board to checkout what the braddahs when pound or just to talk story or for me get some advice. Yeah, i think it would be a good idea. And Eric would be stoke for this new movement: keeping it clean with no fighting etc.....

Thanks for the support guys! There is just too much "Out of hand" stuff going on right now. Not pointing fingers at anybody, but some of the stuff being said doesn't contribute anything positive to the Hunting Community at all. If there is enough support I will create a new board where all are welcome just keep it civil. If it gets out of hand it gets locked. Simple!

I'm in full support also. Its getting pretty out of hand. My nephew fom maui is down here for the summer and uses my log in to get on the site and comments about the swearing and the bs going on. I want him to love the sport and become a humble hunter so he can go to maui and hookup with some of his friends brag about his adventures down here in Honolulu. Instead he is asking questions about all the immaturity that has been going on recently. Unreal... what an impression!!! And he is only 11 years old!!!

Babooze, getting the password from admin and/or seeing if eriks wife has access or offer support is a good idea. This board has established itself with a lot of good people and knowledge, it would be a shame to let it go on the account of others.

Huntachad, I agree with you 100%. People come to this forum to learn about this great sport and build friendships. With the BS that has been tossed around lately gives the rest of a bad name.

Yup I agree with you guys, dis forum used to be solid.
Controling the BS that comes up is a must. This website was meant for hunters/fisher to communicate and share clean and sometimes much needed info.

And to you BS message posters, go make a facebook or myspace account and stay off dis site, you can BS all you like there.
We don't need any more idiots in our hunting/fishing community.

Get my support too. I had this same thought a few weeks ago myself. I have logged into this forum almost daily since I joined a couple years ago, and I've noticed--and been bothered by the BS lately. There is another forum I am active on where they have a rule prohibiting "post-whoring"--where you post bs or even simple 1 or 2 words posts like "Nice." or "Good Job." You are free to post anytime, but have something to say that adds to the conversation. The mods stay on it too, warning people if they start being a naughty little post whore, muting the violator for a while if he doesn't get it, and banning the the ones who still don't wanna play nice with others. I've realy come to appreciate the way they run it, and would love to see something like that done here.
