Hunting permit hassles

Hi gang,
I and a friend just got back from spending too much time getting my hunting license and looking into a hunting permit for Kahana Valley. Maybe it was they day I went, maybe it was something else. The person at the state parks office didn't seem to know how many days we could get, if hunting was allowed on state holidays (we had to show her the reg), where we could park....at least the permit was "no cost". (I won't say free becasue of the time involved)

If this is normal, I don't wonder why so many people just go outlaw. Not that I support it, but I am complaining about the poor level of service I get for my taxes.

I've talkked to them before and they didn't Really know anything.even the game wardens don't know alota the regs and that's y we carry our reg book with us.

is kahana open to public hunting?? or do u need a permit.....

YEAH IT'S A PROBLEM!!!!I USED TO HUNT THERE STEADY AND COULD GO DOWN ONE TIME AND GET THE PARKING PERMIT AND HUNTING PASS FOR THE WHOLE MONTH BUT I HAVENT HUNTED IN THERE FOR A WHILE NOW.THE PERSONS WORKING AT THE COUNTER NOW DON'T KNOW DIDDLY SQUAT...THERE USED TO BE A MAN WORKING THERE THAT WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE HUNTING REGS BUT THE LAST TIME I WENT HE WAS'NT THERE.TRIED ASKING WHERE HE WAS BUT NOBODY KNOWS.NEXT WEEK I'LL TRY AND GO TO THE STATE BUILDING TO GET THE PERMIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS....I'LL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED.....TED

so wat everybody just charge um then ?? funny how when time fo get busted they like flys on shit but when us huntaz like sumthing take for eva or cannot even get info dats why hard
