Why gut it if you only gonna take the jaw...ill tell you why.....they paraded that little pig all day.....bet they were sitting up on the cage all proud to stretch one pig..then got to drinking and because there bodies couldnt handle the days hunt they got all bust then the owner said "hey who like dis pig you gotta clean em i just like the jaw"...nobody wanted it. then he said aw f$ck em only skinny anyways dump em.
Wasnt skiny though when you wen drive around all proud with em on your truck huh?.....and now...you telling all your boyz was a 100lb boar ,I laugh at you! tomorrow gonna be 120lbs gaurantee huh, We all know you reading this......

This was exactly my thoughts except I think it was strapped to the hood of the truck.

Pretty sad stuff. Back in the 90's I was stationed in Nebraska and got into bowhunting for Whitetail deer. I guess the hunting communities on the mainland were way ahead of their time(back then) or maybe it's just that some here in Hawaii are way behind the times. Back in those days, the "hunting community"/hunters frowned on other hunters showing off their catch(either on the hood or in the bed with the tailgate down) for fear of offending non/hunters, especially the animal rights activists. When I attended the hunter education class in Nebraska, the instructors mentioned at least 4 or 5 times during the 2 day class to show respect to the animals we chased AND to the non-hunting community, by DISCREETLY transporting any carcasses.

What a shame if the meat from the pigs in these pictures went to waste because someone was "parading" it around...

I can guess as to why people have to "parade" their catch, but honestly, what do you gain from it? Is the risk of offending a non-hunter or even worse an animal rights activist, worth wasting the meat? We have this website to put your pics up rather than parading the pig all over the place. When you put the pictures on this website, people have to come to this website to see the pics, because they WANT to see it.. If you have the pig on your truck, EVERYONE sees it, whether they want to or not. Remember, not everybody on the streets are hunters...

Kinda cracks me up, too when I see pictures of guys with their catch and proudly displaying the middle finger. Can't figure out if it's because they lost their pointer finger in an accident or if the lost it to leprosy(Kalaupapa #1?).

The "parading" post reminded me of what my cousin's husband told me last year. They were on Oahu last summer for some vacation time in Waikiki(forget which hotel). Anyway, he told me that one night, he was on the balcony and saw this truck with a pig strapped to the dog cage cruising Waikiki. The funny thing is, for several hours, the same truck with the same pig made the Waikiki run, back and forth.

Not stepping on anyone's toes or stirring up crap, but we all need to remember, there are way more non-hunters than there are hunters out there. Peace...

Thats some screwed up S%$#T right there .they should have cut em and let em go instead of killing em and throwing it away. You could hunt him on another day if they did!
