Re: hunting knives
Bark River woodland special. Kind of pricey at 80$ but it's handmade, lifetime unconditional warantee and made of carbon steel. I chipped the blade trying to chop through a pig's neck and sent it in, they polished the knife, reprofiled it and shipped it back all for free. Cant beat service like that. They also shipped me a brand new 40$ sheath, I only had to pay shipping on it. Two thumbs up
I just bought a Spyderco Tenacious. 35$. Looks like a nice pocket knife, good blade shape for skinning. Open handle will be easy to clean. Solid lockup.

re
well for me I like to use knives with blades 7-1/2 to 8-1/4 inches because my dads friend had hard time trying 2 kill a 155 boar, and his knife was a ka-bar with a 7in blade and he had 2 poke the pig 3 times unti it died so it took a very long time to kill him.

Re: hunting knives
I want to try these ones...
F Dick sticking knives...they come 5" 6" 7" or 8"...ergogrip handles so they dont slip with blood on them. Made for slaughter houses. Similar steel and construction to forschner and dexter russel knives. Come with a big finger guard so your hand doesn't slide up the blade either.
They come in red, yellow, green, blue handles or wood. They look mean, only 25$ but don't come with a sheath.

Re: hunting knives
All psychological I guess...just gotta get past your elbows being in a cavity! I don't care how long I take gutting, just as long as I don't bust that DOODOO BAG!
