Trade my 2001 4x4 V6 Tacoma ft and rr 5.29 gearing for 4.56
Anybody has or knows of anybody who has 4.56 front and rear gearing for a 2000-2004 V6 4x4 Toyota Tacoma that wanna trade for my 5.29 front and rear gearing? We can trade the whole 3rd member if it's already installed or just the ring and pinion. Post on here or call me Timmy 808-652-9808. Leave message if no answer.

Yeah, i have a V6 TRD but i think the size difference is in E-lockers and non E-Lockers. My axle code is B03A meaning i supposed to have an 8" that had a stock 4.10 gearing.

But actually the ring gear size isn't any different, the E-lockers just have a different size carrier bearing on one side to accommidate the locking gear moved by the shift fork and the non E-locker dosen't. But then again maybe you are right.

TRD 8" (same as the 89-94 V6 pickups)
Non TRD 8.4"
the whole differential housing is actually different and will not bolt up to each other

Yup, you right trading between a e-locker and non e-locker 3rd member not going work.
But anyways, if anybody like trade or sell their 4.56 front and rear ring and pinion on or off the 3rd member from one V6 Tacoma e-locker or '88-95 V6 toy 4x4 rear only ring and pinion, let me know. If it's on the 3rd member and it's not a e-locker i cannot take the whole 3rd member, i can only take the ring and pinion rear, gotta be an e-locker for me to take the whole 3rd members.

I hate for you and someone to take your thirds apart for nothing. I am telling you that the gears will not interchange. Also if you do swap you will both need master/mini install kits and it's not an install that just anybody can do. Sorry man I'm just trying to help you out.

jushunt, you confusing everybody now. I already said you was right that the e-lockers 8" and and 8.4" non e-lockers cannot be traded R & P or 3rds. That's why i said i can take the R & P either on or off the 3rd if it's an e-locker only (that's what i have). And if it's a '88-'95 V6 4x4 (obviously non e-locker) i can take only just the rear ring and pinion not the whole 3rd.
Anyways, thanks for helping

Sorry you confused me with this statement. I guess you were referring to the older model third.
Is this a 5 speed or a auto?

'00-04 2.7 5spds with factory 265/75/15s and factory alloys wheel should all have 4.30's. The AT version got 4.56's.'
What kind of driving do you plan to do with this truck? Is it a daily driver? How fast do you usually drive?
Most of the guys on Maui running 33's have 5.29's. I have 32's on my truck and plan on putting 4.88's. I Would stick with the 5.29 especially with the auto it has a higher overdrive ratio than the 5 speed.
This will be your RPM's with 33/5.29 in OD.
55MPH/2103RPM
60MPH/2295RPM
65MPH/2486RPM

I have 35s right now and just want better gas mileage. I use it for everything from daily driving to hunting to whatever and i usually just drive a little over speed limit (like most people )
