Land Deal

If someone came along and tried to sell you an acre of land for $97.00
But you didn't have the money, so you borrowed $50. from your mom and $50. from your dad.
You paid the $97.00 and got $3.00 back.
You paid your mom $1.00 and you paid your dad $1.00
And you kept the last dollar for yourself.
$49.00 + $49.00 = $98.00
plus the $1.00 you kept for yourself = $99.00
What happened to the other dollar?

97.for the acre plus the dollar you kept equals 98,thats how much you now owe your parents after giving back 2 bucks.
its like borrowing 49 from each of your parents equaling to 98 then you pay 97 for the acre and kept the dollar but you still owe it back to your parents.
