Helpful hint: Lost and Found Dogs ONLINE

This past Sunday I had gone to the Humane Society shelter in Honolulu to see if a friend's dog that was lost on Saturday morning was brought in. Unfortunately it wasn't. It's always a hassle having to go and check to see if a lost dog is in their kennels. One of the folks at the front desk said we could check online to see if the dog was brought in and that the pictures were updated once a day. I'm not sure if they post all the pictures of the dogs that are brought in, but here's the link to their LOST & FOUND page online, it may come in handy.
