Help!!!!

What is the Crossbow rules in Hawaii? Thanks.

They are not a legal weapon for hunting on public hunting lands. As I understand it, if you are disabled, with a doctor's certificate, you can get a handicapped license from the DLNR which will allow you to use a crossbow. I believe that crossbows may be used on private land, with the landowner's permission. A few years ago, Gary Onuma (who manages the hunting for the Lanai Co.) told me that they permit crossbows on the 4 parcels in the private land archery program.
