what you feeding your dogs

Just checking what you guys feeding your dogs...and if you feeding them dog food, what kind, the price, where you getting it from, and why?

pedigree 55lbs bag from costco cost like 26 dollars one bag. if not i just buy what ever get on sale, like right now k-mart selling 50lbs bags of alpo come and get it for 21 dollars. i used to buy the olroy 50lbs red bag cause was 19 dollars from walmart but they no sellem anymore, they only sell the 50lbs hi-pro which is 27 dollars. but shoots, aloha.

I was feeding my dogs Ol Roy high performance brown bag till it went up to 23 so I now am feeding them the red bag which costs 19 from Walmart and whatever scraps get from previous hunts I freeze um and throw couple pieces out to each dog every once in awhile or if run outta dry food use the scraps for get through today til can get to Walmart tommorow. I feeding Pedigree Puppy to my 6 month old.

i feed river run to me good dog food tends to yield good strong rezilient dogs! my theory is feed them well get good results and dogs that can take punishment i hunt 3 to 4 days a week they must be tip top shape shoots!!!!

I guess since i started this, i gotta put what i feeding my dogs.

Usually i get one 5 gallon bucket of slop once a week from a local Rest, and it usually last them 2 days. They eat so much, they still bloated on fri.
I been feeding the purple bag kirkland from Costco, 40 lbs. usually cost $23, but i only get 4 dogs.
I only feed them 16 oz. (2 cups) a day, i measure it out...thats all they need, evrything comes out hard...and the bag usually last 3 weeks.

I feed my dogs red bag Ol' Roy WalMart dog food mixed with bread and also throw away raw meat cuttings from the butcher.

Tues - no feed
Wed - meat
Thur - no feed
Fri - Ol' Roy dog food mix w/ bread
Sat after hunt - Ol' Roy dog food mix w/ bread
Sun - Ol' Roy dog food mixed w/ bread

I don't feed them the day after i give them meat because it takes longer for raw meat to digest and that's why i don't feed them meat the Friday before the Saturday hunt. I used to feed them the day after i give them meat but they always would'nt eat their food and would waste. I also make sure i always deworm them once a month. When i first started mixing bread they used to get soft crap but they're all normal now. I guess their stomach just had to get used to it.
I get 12 dogs and one red bag Ol' Roy last almost 3 weeks. I hunt all day long am to pm at least once a week sometimes more and the dogs not skinny, to me they look ok.

Eh kaua'i boy...yo pit look pretty solid. I only get 6 dogs and one scoop a day and seems like 2 bags is gone in no time. Jus wondering how much meat you give each dog. Like if you just eyeball um, weigh um or whateva. What you do? Save meat from each catch and feed um? N what kine meat by da way, Pipi, pua'a? Mahalo, Varner

I feed'em throw away cuts from the butcher at the market. Just ask the butcher if you can get or buy the throw away cuts. They should give em to you cause they just throw'em away anyways. But it all depends on the boss at the store. Get all kine meat in the box that they give me, get chicken, turkey, pork and beef. I feed them about 1 - 2lb each or little more, depends on how much meat get in the box when i pick up. I no give my dogs meat from the catch, the meat from the catch is for me eat or i give friends and neighbors . For the dog food, i mix bread with water and 6 to 7 (2-1/2 cup scooper) scoops dog food in a five gallon bucket mix'em with water about 3/4-7/8 to the top and mix'em up with your hand in the bucket and use the 2-1/2 cup scooper and feed 1 to 2 scoops of the mix to each dog.
