Yes because In hawaii you can hunt birds where there are big game animals. It is just to keep the poaching down. I am not 100% positive on this one but if you want to then go ahead. I just wanted to give you a heads up on that. Didnt mean to cause tention. I talked to a DLNR officer and if they catch you doing something illegal, they take away EVERYTHING!. BTW nice animals.

theres no tension, thanks for the heads up. I didn't see it in the regs however so will continue doing so. Does anyone else know the answer?

Legal Hunting Animals and Weapons When hunting with dogs where permitted, hunters may use any muzzeloading rifle with a minimum of 0.45 caliber bore diameter; any rifle using at least a 0.22 caliber magnum load or center fire cartridge; shotguns loaded with slugs or 00 or larger buckshot or spears or knives. When hunting without dogs, hunters may use any rifle with a muzzle energy rating of 1,200 foot pounds or more; shotguns loaded with 00 or larger buckshot and muzzleloader rifles with a minimum of 0.45 caliber bore diameter (Breech loaders may not be used during muzzleloader only designated hunts). When hunting with a bow, the following drawing tension requirements are applicable: Long bows must have a minimum of 40 pounds at a 28-inch draw; Recurved bows must have a minimum of 35 pounds; Compound bows must have a minimum of 30 pounds

Back when my vest was still bright and I could put a 12 gauge slug through the neck of a goat at 30 paces.

This is my wife first successful hunt. She got this neck shot off at about 200 yds across the valley. Needless to say I busted A*& getting it up to the truck. We ended the day with 5 tagged Ewe. I should add, on her request, hers was the largest of the 5 The second day back home we BBQ'd the ribs which were grrrrrrrrreat. [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

this is my grandson Reyven with his Mullie from Nevada were we live now but I sure wish I was back in the Islands with my hunting buds Keith and Dean Kanuha but I travel the mainland in a semi now coast to coast. Maybe I will return one day if the wife wouldjust say yes. Wife is local girl that like it here now.

We got the two billy's. Mike neva like keep the meat, so I brought em' home. It was super windy, cloudy, and somewhat cold. No rain. Awesome I don't think bully went hunt, maybe pig in Hilo.

went on a hunt on kahuku ranch couple of years ago in kaau and they had plenty I mean HERDS!!!! but i couldnt find one that had a nice rack that day
