Watch out for hiker in pupukea

For all you hunters that go pupukea, watch out for a guy around 40yo with a goatee and stash around 6ft tall white guy dark hair with streaks of grey. I was hunting in the third valley down in the river on the Boy Scout side three trails down from the main hiking trail and this guy came out of know where and started yelling and stomping at our dogs and was waving a knife around trying to cut the dogs. We told the guy turn around a go back up the trail and put his knife away an he was like no I'm going that way and started walkin toward us with his dog growling at our dogs from the leash. Dogs ended up in a scuffle and he stabbed one my dogs. Luckily it was nothing too serious and I didn't notice it till we already were way up the trail. Guy said he was prior military and said "real hunters don't hunt with dogs". Guy was super disrespectful and had no business being where he was at much less pulling a knife out trying to stab dogs. Anybody knows you start yelling and stomping at somebody's hunting dogs they're gonna get defensive. I don't know who the hunter is who lost a dog out there last month and has a flier out there but I'm pretty sure this is the clown who wrote all over it talking bout real hunters don't hunt with dogs. Y'all watch out for this guy. He's nothing but trouble. Gonna file a report with DLNR first thing tomorrow morning. If anybody knows who this might be plz call me.

Thanks Curtis, any deeper and I would've had to put staples in my dog. This guys lucky I didn't realize my dog was cut till he was gone. Guy left immediately after everything happened and was tellin lies to all the hikers coming in saying that he was on the main trail and everything but by the time we made it out he was gone. Didn't sign in either so I can't even get his name.

This guys dog is some sort of beagle/hound white with tan spots. In case you see him with the dog. I'm guessing he hikes between 2 and 5 in the afternoons ran into him at about 4ish today.

Could I email the picture of my dogs cut to Dlnr or would I have to physically go into their office?

I'm sure you could fax or email the documentation if you decided to make a report.

That's exactly what I was thinking. But at the same time, I'm lucky they didn't attack him.

I contacted DLNR this morning and got the run around. They gave me a number to call so I did and the guy is on vacation. So he gave me a different number to call and that office was closed at 130 this afternoon which made no sense to me. So now I'm going to have to try to follow up every day I guess till this office opens up.

Who I got to contact for that. Dlnr isn't too concerned about it.
